I have been asked several times in the last few years to put together education regarding menopause and management of menopause related symptoms through my work as a Pelvic Health Nurse. One of the most common things that I hear is that understandable, holistic and useful information is difficult to find. There is much emphasis on starting puberty and what to expect when you are expecting, but not so much on the topic of menopause, or maybe we are just less likely to talk about it...
So I obtained a health coaching certification for the 3rd Age Women -those who are transitioning to menopause, in the midst of menopause and those who are post menopausal, to help close the information gap. This is not a topic that most women feel they can discuss openly and often times feel the symptoms that they are suffering from are "just a part of being a woman", or "due to getting older" and "is something we have to live with". Many women unfortunately do not seek help because it is often difficult to discuss issues such as body changes, decreased libido/sexual function, fatigue, digestive issues, urinary incontinence, pelvic pain or anxiety (and many more).
As a Health Coach, I offer Inspiration, Education, and Empowerment! I will partner with you to give support, find individualized strategies and offer valuable insight to health and wellness to create your path to your vision of health.
